Hamburg Towers announced the signing of big man Yoeli Childs for the coming season. Childs (2.03 meter, 24 years old) returns to Germany after playing for MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg at the beginning of last season. He averaged 10 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1 block in two appearances before returning to the United States, where he played for Salt Lake City in the G-League. Childs posted 15.6 points, 10.2 boards and 1.4 blocks in 23 games with Salt Lake City. It was Childs’s second campaign in the G-League after playing for Erie the year before. Before that, Childs was a three-time All-West Coast Conference First Team selection at Brigham Young University.
