Promitheas Patras added depth to its frontcourt by bringing back center Michalis Tsairelis, the club announced Friday. Tsairelis (2.08 meters, 34 years old) arrives from a fellow Greek side Larissa where he posted 7.7 points and 3.0 rebounds last season. Tsairelis returns to Promitheas where he already played in the 2018-19 season.
Veteran big man also returns for his fourth season in the 7DAYS EuroCup, having made a debut with Aris Thessaloniki in 2010 and spending two seasons there, and also played one with PAOK Thessaloniki. Tsairelis also played in a pair of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague seasons with Olympiacos Piraeus, making a total of seven appearances from 2014 to 2016. Tsairelis started his career with Apollon, and also played with AEL, Trikala Ifestos, Iraklis and Peristri in his native Greece, and also with Tenerife in Spain.
