BACKCOURT
Talented playmaker Stefan Peno is one of Lietkabelis's marquee additions. Peno is finally injury-free and ready to showcase his passing skills and great court sense. Nikas Stuknys and Kristian Kullamae should help him run the team at the point guard position. At age 17, Stuknys is one of the top prospects in Lithuanian basketball. Kullamaee, whose father Gert played the 2004-05 EuroCup with EiffelTowers Nijmegen, is a scoring guard with deep shooting range and great determination. Mantas Rubstavicius and Jamel Morris are expected to split minutes at shooting guard. Rubstavicius comes off a fantastic summer during which he led Lithuania to a silver medal at the U20 European championships and earned all-tournament team honors. Born in Panevezys, Rubstavicius arrives on loan from Zalgiris Kaunas. Morris is an excellent three-point shooter and arrives to be one of Lietkabelis's main scoring weapons. Vytenis Lipkevicius is ready to help in many ways and provide a lot of energy at both ends of the floor.
