Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv opened the Israeli League semifinals with a 82-76 win over Bnei Herzliya to jump to a 1-0 lead in the series. Scottie Wilbekin led the wnners with 24 points including 4 of 9 three-point shooting. Derrick Williams added 14 and Keenan Evans had 12. After a tight first half in which the guests managed to end ahead, 41-45, Maccabi reacted with a 28-17 third quarter that made it 69-62 after 30 minutes.
In Turkey, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul fell to Darussafaka 81-82 in the Istanbul derby in the semifinals, which now stands tied at 1-1. Nando De Colo led the team with 24 points, Jan Vesely added 17 and Melih Mahmutoglu had 15 for Fenerbahce. Melih managed a three-point play to tie the game at 79-79 and cap a 6-0 run from 73-79. However, in the final play, the guests managed to escape with the win.
