Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz unloaded a blitz of long-range shooting in Wednesday's vital 77-62 home win over Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, and Wade Baldwin was belatedly at the center of the action.
Telling numbers: Baldwin led Baskonia's long-range blitz
The Spanish team could hardly miss from deep in the early stages, making 5 three-pointers in 6 attempts in the opening 5 minutes with Matt Costello, Rokas Giedraitis, Simone Fontecchio and Alec Peters all on target from beyond the arc.
One player was conspicuous by his absence, but that soon changed as leading scorer Baldwin netted his first triple early in the second quarter and then just kept on going, finishing with 24 points on 5-for-9 three-point shooting.

Baldwin wasn't the only one: Baskonia was always keen to shoot from deep throughout the game, eventually making 14 triples on 39 attempts – 11 shots more than it attempted from two-point territory (15-of-28). And it was a markedly different approach to Fenerbahce, which went 20-of-38 from two-point range and just 5-of-16 from deep.
