Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade will put an end to its Turkish Airlines EuroLeague campaign when it hosts the reigning champs Anadolu Efes Istanbul in the Serbian capital.
Major matchup: Mitrovic, Zvezda vs. Pleiss, Efes
Luka Mitrovic has had a productive EuroLeague campaign, his first in the competition since 2018. In 20 minutes on the floor, Mitrovic averaged 8.2 points, making 59.9% two-point shots, and 4.4 rebounds. What Mitrovic lacks in athleticism and size under the rims with his 2.06 meters, he makes up with tremendous hustle and energy, as well as savvy plays.

Mitrovic will try to use all of his tools in a battle with Efes big men, one of which is veteran Tibor Pleiss. At his 2.21 meters, Pleiss has been dominant at times this season. He averages 9.1 points and 4.3 rebounds, but has added a long-range shooting to his arsenal, having made 16 triples on 43.2% on the season. When the two sides met in Round 17, Pleiss was a career-best 5-for-5 from long range, finishing with 23 points plus 7 rebounds. He would love to see some of those same numbers when the two sides meet on Friday again.
