Laso, 54, was admitted to the Hospital Universitario Sanitas La Moraleja in the Spanish capital hours after his team had beaten visiting Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz on Saturday night in the second game of their Spanish League semifinal playoff series.
Following the procedure on Sunday, the club reported that Coach Laso was in stable condition and would stay the night for observation in the hospital's intensive care unit. On Monday, the club reported that Laso had been released from the intensive care unit while remaining at the hospital for further monitoring.
