The game between AS Monaco and Panathinaikos OPAP Athens saw the momentum change several times. Daryl Macon Jr. came off the bench early and helped the Greens pull away to lead 27-19 after 10 minutes. Dwayne Bacon and Alpha Diallo each scored twice for Monaco in a 1-14 charge to open the second quarter and the visitors led 42-49 at the break.

Panathinaikos crashed the offensive boards in the third quarter and through Jeremy Evans and Okaro White trimmed the gap. When Eleftherios Bochoridis’s jumper gave the hosts their first lead of the second half, 68-67, 2 and a half minutes into the fourth quarter, it seemed that the momentum was with Panathinaikos for good.

That’s when Paris Lee took the game by the horns. First, he drive for a bucket and then he drained a triple. On the next possession, Lee found James for a three-pointer. James then scored the next 5 points to complete a game-changing 0-13 run. And even though Howard Sant-Roos sank a pair of late three to give Panathinaikos hope, the 68-80 lead that Lee and James gave Monaco with 4 minutes left would prove to be insurmountable.
