Power Electronics lands Dusko Savanovic

Dusko Savanovic (Photo: Berni Perez, enCancha.com)Power Electronics Valencia reached an agreement with power forward Dusko Savanovic on a two-year deal on Monday. Savanovic (204, 27) arrives from Cajasol, where he averaged 14.7 points on 41% three-point shooting and 4.8 rebounds in 36 Spanish League games last season. He led Cajasol to its best season this decade, reaching the Spanish King's Cup final eight and the Spanish League playoffs for the first time since 2000. Savanovic has also played for Unics in Russia as well as for Borac Cacak and FMP in his native Serbia. He helped Unics reach the ULEB Cup semifinals and the Russian Cup final in 2007. Savanovic also made it to the ULEB Cup Final Eight in 2008 and won the Adriatic League title with FMP in 2006. He is a member of the Serbian national team and is a candidate to play at the 2010 FIBA World Championships this summer. Power Electronics will be Savanovic's first Euroleague club.
