After dominating the 7DAYS EuroCup for the past three seasons, Peyton Siva will take his talents to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague after signing a two-year deal to remain with ALBA Berlin. Siva (1.82 meters, 28 years old) has played the past three seasons with ALBA and led the team to the EuroCup Finals last season with 15.2 points on 50.6% three-point shooting and 7.9 assists per game. He was the 2018-19 EuroCup Quarterfinals MVP. Siva also produced 11.9 points, 6.2 assists and 1.5 steals in the German League in leading his team to the finals of that competition, too. Since he first stepped on a EuroCup floor in 2016, Siva leads the competition in assists (251), is third in three-point accuracy (45.5%), fourth in three-pointers made (85) and steals (51) and seventh in scoring (502 points).
Siva was a college basketball star at the University of Louisville, where he played under former Panathinaikos OPAP Athens head coach Rick Pitino. Siva led Louisville to back-to-back NCAA Finals Fours in 2012 and 2013. He helped the Cardinals win the national championship in the second of those seasons, during which he also received the Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award as the top college player listed as 6 feet tall (1.83 meters) or shorter. He played one season in the NBA with Detroit in 2013-14 and also played in the D-League for Fort Wayne and Erie. Siva began his Europen career with Juve Caserta in Italy in 2015 and joined ALBA a season later.
