Panathinaikos OPAP Athens brought veteran depth to its backcourt with the addition of guard Shelvin Mack
, the club announced on Saturday. Mack (1.91 meters, 30 years old) split last season between AX Armani Exchange Milan and Hapoel Jerusalem. He made his EuroLeague debut with Milan, where in 11 appearances he averaged 4.9 points and 1.8 assists. He split with the team in January and played a remainder of the season with Jerusalem where he posted 11.8 points on 45.7% three-point shooting, along with 3.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists. During his career, Mack played in the NBA with Memphis, Charlotte, Washington, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Utah and Orlando, as well as for Maine of the NBA G League. In 456 NBA regular-season career games with seven different teams, Mack has averaged 6.6 points and 3.1 assists. Mack also helped Butler University reach the NCAA Tournament championship game in 2010 and won a gold medal at the 2009 U19 World Championships with the USA national team.
