About the program:
Hapoel Vegan Friendly Tel Aviv is running its first-ever One Team program with Bialik School, a school in the south of Tel Aviv that has 600 children who have come from the families of refugees. With this One Team program, the Israeli club is working with a total of 15 participants aged 11-12 years old. The main goal is to use basketball as a way of supporting them with regard to dealing with problems, meeting new people and enhancing life skills, such as self-esteem, communication and a sense of community. The participants of the project will also participate in Hapoel's youth league and, in the future, they will be eligible for a scholarship to play in the club's youth system up to the age of 18. Hapoel first-team player J'Covan Brown is the team's One Team Ambassador during the 2022-23 season.
