Satoransky opened the game with back-to-back triples and, following a pair of baskets from Nikola Kalinic, Barca started to pull away. Petrusev scored 6 points for the hosts in the early going, but Satoransky went on to knock down two more threes. Then, one from Kalinic helped Barca extend its lead to 17-28 after 10 minutes. A three-point play from Abrines opened a 19-34 margin, but Zvezda stepped up on defense and had John Holland and Nedovic provide a spark on offense. Petrusev scored the last 6 points in a 17-0 run as Zvezda went in front for the first time in the game. However, Nicolas Laprovittola fueled a Barca response, as the visitors went on a 0-7 run to end the half and make it 40-43.
Mirotic scored 7 points early in the third quarter, including a triple to make it 46-50, but Zvezda started to take control, scoring inside through Mitrovic and Petrusev, who were unstoppable. Both players scored 8 points in the third quarter, with Petrusev's all coming in a 19-7 spurt capped with Mitrovic's buzzer-beating tip-in to make it 65-57 at the end of the third. Nedovic and Mitrovic extended it to 12 points on two occasions in the fourth, before Sanli nailed one three and Abrines hit back-to-back shots. A triple from Higgins cut it to 77-71. Zvezda remained in front, however, until back-to-back triples from Abrines and Sanli tied it at 79-79 with 69 seconds to go. Zvezda went back in front with shots from the foul line, holding an 84-81 with 8.2 seconds to go, but Barca took the ball up court and then Mirotic nailed a shot at the buzzer to send it to an extra session.
In overtime, Higgins hit one from way downtown, before Satoransky netted his fifth three-point shot to put Barca up for good. Barca head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius was ejected for getting two technical fouls in quick succession, but it didn't matter, as baskets from Higgins and Jan Vesely kept the visitors in front en route to a valuable win.
