Dubai adds size with Kenan Kamenjas

Dubai Basketball continued assembling the roster for its EuroLeague debut by signing center Kenan Kamenjas to a two-year deal, the club announced Saturday.
Kamenjas (2.07 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Buducnost VOLI Podgorica where he posted 10.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals last season in BKT EuroCup action. He also averaged 11.8 points and a league-high 7.4 rebounds helping Buducnost reach ABA League playoff finals.
In Dubai, Kamenjas joins Dzanan Musa, his teammate from the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, and for former Buducnost teammate McKinley Wright.
Kamenjas spent the majority of the past three years with Buducnost, which he first joined for the 2022-23 campaign. The following season he started with another team from the Montenegrin capital, SC Derby, but returned to Buducnost by December and cemented himself as the team's most trusted center. He won three Montenegrin League championships in three seasons with Buducnost, as well as last seasons' Montenegrin Cup.
Kamenjas started to make his name in the 2021-22 season with SC Derby, when he led the ABA League in PIR. He started his professional career with OKK Spars Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also played for Bosnian side Travnik before joining Derby. Kamenjas helped Spars win the Bosnian Cup in 2020. He is now set to make his EuroLeague debut with a competition newcomer - Dubai.
