For the second year in succession and the seventh time in the last decade, Real Madrid will play in the 2023 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four. Los Blancos, led by first-year head coach Chus Mateo, appeared to be on the verge of a playoff defeat to Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, trailing by 18 points late in the third quarter of Game 5 at WiZink Center, but they turned it around to win the game and book their place in the Final Four. Real had a 23-11 record during the 34-game regular season, ending up with the No. 3 seed courtesy of its inferior head-to-head record against archrival FC Barcelona, before downing Partizan 3-2 in its playoff series.
