The dynamic guard enters his record-tying 19th EuroLeague season
Sergio Llull signs on for one more season with Real Madrid

One of the greatest players in EuroLeague history, Sergio Llull, has signed a one-year contract extension with Real Madrid.
Llull (1.90 meters, 37 years old) just completed his 18th season in the EuroLeague, during which he averaged 6.6 points and 2.2 assists in 40 games and helped the club win the Spanish League. Next season will see Llull tie Paulius Jankunas and Georgios Printezis for the most seasons played in competition history.
A three-time EuroLeague champion with Real, having lifted the trophy in 2015, 2018 and 2023, Llull’s name is already in the league’s history books. In addition to hitting the game-winning basket in the 2023 EuroLeague Championship Game, the veteran guard is the all-time leader in games played (447) and three-pointers made (686) and is ranked fourth in points scored (4,216) and seventh in assists (1,481).
A member of the EuroLeague Basketball 2010–20 All-Decade Team and the competition's All-25 team, Llull was named EuroLeague MVP and to the All-EuroLeague First Team for the 2016-17 season. He has led Real to nine Spanish League championships, seven Spanish Copa del Rey triumphs and nine Spanish SuperCups, as well as the Intercontinental Cup trophy in 2015.
Llul has also been successful with the Spanish national team, winning gold medals at EuroBasket 2009, 2011 and 2015 and at the 2019 Basketball World Cup. He is a two-time Olympic medalist, winning silver in London 2012 and bronze in Rio in 2016 among his long haul of silverware.
