Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade has announced the signing of Filip Petrusev for the upcoming season. Petrusev (2.11 meters, 22 years old) joins from Anadolu Efes Istanbul, where last season he averaged 5.2 points and 1.6 rebounds in 22 games in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, his first year in the competition. He was part of the Efes team that won the EuroLeague in 2021-22.

Petrusev made the move to Efes after a spectacular 2020-21 campaign with Mega Basket, during which he won the ABA League MVP and ABA League Top Prospect award and was the ABA League's top scorer (23.7 ppg.). He led the league in performance index rating (28.0), while he was also second in rebounds and third in blocks.
Petrusev played high school basketball in the United States and spent two seasons playing college basketball at Gonzaga University. He was the West Coast Conference Player of the Year in 2020. Petrusev has been a member of the Serbian national team at many age groups, including the senior national team. He helped the U18 side win back-to-back European championships in 2017 and 2018.
