Besiktas adds guard Brynton Lemar

Besiktas GAIN Istanbul added EuroCup experience and physicality to its backcourt by inking Brynton Lemar, the club announced Friday.
Lemar (1.93 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana, where he averaged 14.4 points on 88.6% free-throw shooting in 14 EuroCup games last season in helping his team win the Slovenian League and Cup double. He scored 20 points on 13-of-13 free throw shooting for a PIR of 22 in the eighthfinals against Besiktas to lead Cedevita to a 96-86 victory.
After playing college basketball at the University of California at Davis, Lemar started his professional career with SLUC Nancy in France. He played for Caen Basket and Le Mans in France, MKS Start Lubln in Poland, Soporn KC in Hungary, Gaziantep Basketball in Turkiye, Reggio Emilia in Italy, Enisey Krasnoyarsk in Russia, AEK Athens in Greece and Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem in Israel before joining Cedevita in 2024.
