Hamburg signs scoring guard Eric Reed

Veolia Hamburg Towers picked up some scoring punch with the signing of Eric Reed for the 2025-26 season.
Reed (1.93 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Belgian side Spurs Kortrijk, for which he averaged 15.1 points on 42.4% three-point shooting, 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game in the BNXT League (the top professional league in Belgium and the Netherlands). He made 2.8 three-pointers per game and was the top scorer on the team as it reached the playoff semifinals. Reed was named to the All-BNXT League First Team.
Reed played college basketball at Howard College, Southeast Missouri State University and Mississippi State University. He was an All- Ohio Valley Conference First Team selection in 2022. Reed began his professional career Cyprus with Etha Engomis in the summer of 2023 and he finished that season with Aris Midea Thessaloniki in Greece.
"Eric played at a very high level last season, for a very good coach. He was an important part of a very successful team," Coach Benka Barloschky said. "The way he plays has a big part in this. He is a two-way player; his combination of scoring and defense is something special. I'm very much looking forward to our cooperation."
