Neptunas and veteran guard Mindaugas Girdziunas stay together

Neptunas Klaipeda has signed veteran guard Mindaugas Girdziunas to a contract extension that will keep them together for the 2025-26 season.
Girdziunas (1.88 meters, 36 years old) has already played 12 seasons for Neptunas, including the last three. He averaged 6.5 points in 36 appearances in the Lithuanian League last season. Girdziunas brings with him six seasons of EuroCup experience – three each with Neptunas and Rytas Vilnius – and one season in the EuroLeague. In total, he has played one season for Nevezis and five for Rytas. He won the 2022 Lithuanian League championship and the 2019 Lithuanian Cup with Rytas. Girdziunas has also played 17 times for the Lithuanian national team dating back to 2017.
