Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul has added a scoring threat to its roster by signing guard Carsen Edwards to a one-year deal, the club announced on Sunday. Edwards (1.80 meters, 24 years old) spent the majority of last season split between Salt Lake City of the G League and Detroit of the NBA. He was the fifth-best scorer in the G League last season with 23.3 points, while he also added with 4.1 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals. In four NBA appearances with Detroit, he averaged 5.8 points, 3.5 assists and 1.5 rebounds.

Edwards was a college star at Purdue University, where he scored 24.3 points per game in his third year before turning pro in 2019. He spent his first two seasons split between Boston in the NBA, where he played in 71 games, and Maine in the G League, where he averaged 22.2 points in 13 appearances. Edwards is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut next season.
