MoraBanc Andorra will have to make a run for the 7DAYS EuroCup Playoffs without its captain, forward David Jelinek, who will miss three months of action with an ankle injury, the club announced on Thursday.

Jelinek was injured, suffering ligament damage to his left ankle, while playing for the Czech Republic national team over the weekend. Jelinek has been a constant positive presence for Andorra in the EuroCup, averaging between 6.2 and 10.7 points each of the last four full seasons. In this one, he had been putting up 8.8 points and 2.4 rebounds in 17:36 per game as a part-time starter.
