Angel Nunez returns to Slask Wroclaw

Slask Wroclaw has brought back a familiar face to strengthen its frontcourt by signing Angel Nunez through the end of the 2025-26 season. Nunez (2.03 meters, 34 years old) spent the previous two seasons with the club. He finished the 2024-25 campaign in Spain with Leyma Coruna, where he averaged 2.3 points and 1.4 rebounds in seven Spanish League games.
The Dominican Republic forward is known for his athleticism and dynamic style of play. After playing college basketball at Louisville, Gonzaga and South Florida, Nunez began his professional career in France with Evreux in France in 2016. He has since played in the Dominican Republic (Metros de Santiago), Puerto Rico (Mets Guaynabo, Vaqueros de Bayamon, Capitanes de Arecibo), Mexico (Abejas de Leon), Israel (Maccabi Haifa), Greece (AO Ionikos Nikaias), Cyprus (Keravnos), the G League (Long Island Nets), Poland and Spain.
Nunez has been a regular on the Dominican national team, which he has represented at Olympic and World Cup qualifiers as well as the FIBA AmeriCup championships.
