Aris Thessaloniki big man Georgios Tanoulis has been ruled out long-term after suffering a serious knee injury on Wednesday night. The 23-year-old center was hurt in the fourth quarter of the friendly game against TFT Skopje. On Thursday he underwent an MRI, which revealed a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), medial meniscus, and medial collateral ligament (MCL).
Tanoulis is scheduled to undergo surgery, after which he will begin his rehabilitation program. A native of Thessaloniki, Tanoulis joined Olympiacos Piraeus on a long-term deal in 2023 and has spent most of the past two seasons away on loan.
