Aris inks big man Jake Forrester

Aris Thessaloniki fortified its frontcourt with center Jake Forrester who signed a one-year deal with an option for another season, the club announced Friday morning. Forrester (2.06 meters, 26 years old) arrives from a city rival PAKO Thessaloniki where he had 8.1 points and 4.5 rebounds in the Greek League action last season, while in the FIBA Europe Cup he averaged 7.9 points and 4.8 rebounds.
That was Forrester’s second pro season, having made his debut in the 2023-24 season with Artland Dragons in Germany, posting 12.5 points and 6.2 rebounds. Before that, he played collegiate basketball at three different universities – Indiana, Temple and St Louis.
Forrester is third newcomer arriving to Aris this summer, after additions of guard Stelios Poulianitis and forward Arnoldas Kulboka. Also, Aris has a new man on its bench, with Bogdan Karaicic taking over the head coaching job.
