A balanced effort keeps the Turkish side atop the Group A standings
Bahcesehir rolls past Cedevita Olimpija to stay perfect

Bahcesehir College Istanbul remains unbeaten in the BKT EuroCup following a commanding 92–76 home win over Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana, which improved its record to 4–0.
The matchup held extra weight, with both teams entering the night unbeaten. Their previous meeting in Istanbul had determined a quarterfinal spot in last season’s EuroCup. This time, Bahcesehir once again rose to the occasion.
Reflecting on the performance, head coach Marko Barac emphasized his team’s intensity and commitment: “It was a difficult game against a quality opponent. But except for the second quarter, I’ve got to say we played pretty good defense, and that fighting spirit was the reason for today’s win.”
From the opening tip, the hosts imposed their rhythm, moving the ball with poise and purpose. Trevion Williams was a steady presence once again, especially during slower stretches on offense. Using his strength and footwork inside, the backcourt repeatedly fed him in the pick-and-roll. Williams finished with 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists.
“They're a great team. We respect them like any other opponent,” Williams said post-game. “We did some really good things; we’ve got some things to learn as well. But most importantly, we got the win.”
Both teams came out fast, attacking the paint and trading early baskets. Bahcesehir, however, maintained composure and found ways to sustain momentum. Its offensive versatility stood out, creating multiple scoring options and rhythm in half-court sets.
Depth also proved decisive. Bahcesehir's bench contributed 22 points, and scoring remained balanced throughout. Tyler Cavanaugh led the team with 16 points, while Caleb Homesley added 15, the two combining for six three-pointers as Bahcesehir shot 30.8% from long range. After a quieter first half, Malachi Flynn provided a spark in the second, finishing with 12 points and 5 assists to help seal the win.
“In the second quarter, there was a certain drop in concentration and energy,” Coach Barac admitted. “We let their best shooters receive the ball and take those shots. But outside of that, everything was pretty good. In the future, our shooting percentages will be even better.”
Cedevita matched Bahcesehir’s early pace, finding easy looks inside and scoring efficiently at the rim in the opening minutes. However, their struggles from beyond the arc limited offensive options, as the Slovenian side finished just 29.6% from three-point range.
Aleksej Nikolic led Cedevita with 14 points, 4 assists, and a PIR of 16. David Skara also posted 14 points with an identical PIR, while DJ Stewart added 12 points through consistent effort on both ends. Cedevita’s most consistent challenge came on the offensive glass, where they pulled down 16 offensive rebounds to stay within striking distance for much of the game.
Coach Zvezdan Mitrovic praised his team’s resilience despite the loss: “Congrats to my team who fought the whole 40 minutes. The result doesn’t matter – we didn’t give up. OK, in the end we lost some simple balls and finished more than 10 points behind, like all game. The better team won.”
In Round 5, Bahcesehir will look to extend its unbeaten run on the road against BAXI Manresa, while Cedevita will aim to bounce back at home against Neptunas Klaipeda.
