Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse completed a busy day on Wednesday with the signings of point guard Frantz Massenat and forward Isiaha Mike, who were teammates last season at Chemnitz of the German League.
Bourg brings in Massenat, Mike
Frantz Massenat (1.93 meters, 30 years old), who arrives from Chemnitz, signed for one season. Last season he averaged 9.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 36 games. He played college basketball at Drexel from 2010 to 2014 and then crossed the pond to make his pro debut in Germany. Massenat played for MBC and EWE Baskets Oldenburg until 2019. He played for MoraBanc Andorra in the Spanish League in 2019-20 and then moved to Italy to spend two seasons in Pesaro. Massenat also had a broef stint at Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz and then went back to Germany to join Chemnitz. With Andorra, Massenat played a total 16 7DAYS EuroCup games, averaging 8.4 points, 2.1 boards and 2.8 assists.
Isiaha Mike (2.03 meters, 25 years old) also played for Chemnitz in 2021-22 and averaged 11.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 34 German League games. He has also played for Scarborough in his native Canada. Mike played college basketball at Duquesne and SMU from 2016 to 2020. He then joined Chemnitz, where he spent the last two seasons as a starter. These two signings join James Palmer, who penned a deal with the club earlier in the day.
