Pallacanestro Brescia placed a bet on experience when it announced the signing of guard David Cournooh for the next season on Monday. Cournooh (1.87 meters, 32 years old) arrives from Scafati of the Italian second division, where he averaged 9.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 steals in 14 games. He started the 2021-22 season with Cremona of the Italian League, averaging 11.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 28 games before leaving the team.

Cournooh started his career at Montepaschi Siena, playing at the EuroLeague junior tournament from 2006 to 2008. He made his debut in the pro team that season also. In 2013-14 he played a total 8 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games with Siena. Since then, he has played in several Italian teams including Ferrara, Imola, Brindisi, Pistoia, Cantu or even Virtus Bologna. This will be Cournooh's fourth 7DAYS EuroCup season, having played previously with Siena, Brindisi and Virtus for a total 26 games, 114 points, 43 rebounds and 39 assists.
