Buducnost marches into Montenegrin Cup semis

Buducnost VOLI Podgorica’s quest to win the Montenegrin Cup for the 11th straight season began on the right foot with a 57-80 victory over Sutjeska Eletroprivreda Niksic on Tuesday in Zupa, Montenegro. Kenan Kamenjas led the way with 16 points and 12 rebounds, Andrija Slavkovic also scored 16 and Nikola Tanaskovic added 10 points for the winners.
Buducnost never trailed in the game and led 11-18 after 10 minutes. A 2-10 run charge to close the second quarter made it 23-36 at the half and Buducnost protected that lead the rest of the way. Jovan Vojinovac paced Sutjeska with 12 points.
Buducnost will face either Podgorica or Mornar Barsko zlato in the semifinals. The Montenegrin Cup has been played annually since 2007 and Buducnost has won it every season but 2013, when it fell to Sutjeska in the final.
