Buducnost VOLI Podgorica found a new floor general, none other than Trae Bell-Haynes, who signed a one-year deal with his new club on Friday. Bell-Haynes (1.88 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Rio Breogan Lugo, where he averaged 12.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 28 Spanish League games last season. He hit 84.2% of his free throws attempts and helped Breogan reach the Spanish Cup tournament in its first season back at the elite level.

Bell-Haynes started his professional basketball career with Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt, where he made his 7DAYS EuroCup debut, averaging 8.1 points and 2.7 assists in 11 games in the 2018-19 campaign. He has also played for Wisconsin of the G League, Niagara of the CEBL, Helsinki Seagulls of Finland and HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim, where Bell-Haynes had a breakout 2020-21 season, averaging 17.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 6.9 assists in 38 German League games. Bell-Haynes helped Helsinki win the Finnish Cup in 2020 and has been a member of the Canadian national team.
