Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana strengthened its frontcourt by inking versatile forward Amadou Sow to a two-year deal, the club announced Monday.
Cedevita adds Amadou Sow to frontcourt

Sow (2.06 meters, 24 years old) arrives from ADA Blois Basket 41, where he averaged 13.8 points on 41.9% three-point shooting and 5.2 rebounds in 32 French League games last season, his first as a professional player. He is Cedevita's third off-season signing, after Justis Hollatz and Aleksandar Shashkov.
Born in Mali, Sow moved to the United States and played for Napa Christian High School. He played college basketball at the University of California Santa Barbara for four seasons starting in 2018. In his last campaign with the Gauchos, Sow averaged 15.6 points and 8.4 rebounds in 28 NCAA games.
"Amadou Sow is a versatile player who can play in both frontcourt positions and, at the same time, fits into our philosophy," Cedevita head coach Simone Pianigiani said. "He also has great potential, and after the season he spent in France, he will be able to gain further experience in high-level basketball with us in the Adriatic League and the EuroCup. Sow is an athletic player, which is very important in modern basketball."
