Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana has added firepower to its backcourt by signing guard Josh Adams for the upcoming season, the club announced on Saturday. Adams (1.88 meters, 28 years) spent last season with Tasmania JJ in the Australian League, where he averaged 17.5 points, 3.3 points and 2.0 assists. He now returns to the 7DAYS EuroCup, where he played in 2020-21 with Virtus Segafredo Bologna, helping the team reach the semifinals as he posted averages of 8.2 points, 1.5 assists and 1.3 rebounds. Adams made his competition debut a year earlier with Unicaja Malaga.

"We are happy and pleased that Josh will join us in the upcoming season", said Cedevita sports director Sani Becirovic. "He is a player who has a desire to improve, prove himself and compete, and he also knows majority of players on the team. We think he will fit in very quickly and we believe that he will be a great help in reaching our goals".
Adams started his professional career with Avtodor Saratov in Russia before joining Anadolu Efes Istanbul, where he played for the majority of the 2017-18 season and where he made 16 appearances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, averaging 7.0 points. Adams also played professionally with Besiktas Istanbul in Turkey, and he split the 2018-19 season between Toronto of the G League and Shanxi Zhongyu of the Chinese League.
