Yoeli Childs tied a 7DAYS EuroCup record in leading Veolia Hamburg Towers to a narrow win over Dolomiti Energia Towers on Tuesday night. The 25-year-old’s 11 offensive records evened the most in competition history and his 20 total boards were tied for the third-most ever in a EuroCup game.
Childs also scored 18 points to notch his seventh double-double in his maiden EuroCup season. He tied his personal best with a PIR of 36, too. Childs's 10th offensive rebound led to basket that put his team up 85-82 with 2:18 remaining and his final offensive board created an extra possession that Anthony Polite capitalized on with a triple to go up 5 with 1:42 remaining.
