“I don’t know what to say. It’s our fourth game in eight days, we took all the last three games on the road and we haven’t been home for seven days. All the credit goes to the players. Amazing job, but I want to congratulate Joventut and Coach Carles Duran for the great season. They are still the best team in the Eurocup, in my opinion. But it’s one game, and this is the bad side of a do-or-die game. We are happy, very happy. We saw today, anything can happen, but we have to stay on the planet Earth, we have to know that whoever plays against us is going to be the favorite, but like today, we put on the fight, we had a good night to win the game and next time we will go and fight again.”
Carles Duran, Joventut Badalona head coach:
"It was a terrible game from us. Terrible. I am so sorry for our fans. I cannot evaluate much today. It is a hard loss for the team, the club and especially for our people. We are eliminated. We had an extraordinary season and knew about the format and that if we didn't win, we didn't advance. We could talk about many things, but it is a hard night for us. I don't think we lost because of the pressure. I am sure it affected us in some bad shots or certain things, but I don't think we lost because of that. I can only tell our people that I am sorry. I am honest and am always the first that always asks fans to come see us and help us. They came today and the team failed, I failed. People will be disappointed, hurt, angry... it wasn't Joventut's night. Like I said, I am sure we have to find a lot of details. We were frustrated with our three-point shots missed. Many of those shots were well selected. We didn't go to the free-throw line often... We lacked defense inside and outside. These are small details, those open shots that we missed and they made. We didn't have a big presence in the paint to draw more fouls in the fourth quarter, which hurt us a lot. They scored almost 30 points [in the fourth quarter] but in the most decisive quarter, our defense was not the best."
