“We played a good game on the road. We know it’s really tough to win here, but my players made a great effort, with a good attitude. They sacrificed for the team, many players gave effort for the team, and we also played smart, except in some moments. Even though we were minus 11 in the second half, we stayed focused on the game, we found solutions. It’s a good win for us, maybe it’s too late, but it was a good one for us.
“I’m happy for my players, especially after a season like this, in which we lost so many close games. After yesterday’s results, we knew we didn’t have any chance to qualify for the top 16, but my players and the staff wanted to show we wanted to continue in the competition. It’s a good win for us, to prepare ourselves for the last 10 games of our championship. Everybody knows it’s tough to win here. I appreciate the win but also the way to learn how we need to play offensively and defensively.”
Buducnost VOLI Podgorica head coach Aleksandar Dzikic:
“It’s very tough. At the end, we missed some open shots and had trouble with the rebounding. We finished a little bit bad... Congratulations to our guests. In the end, they were more focused, they executed better. We missed some open shots and it ended like this. In this type of game, it’s about small things, small details.”
