The hottest team in the EuroCup, Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana, will look to extend its winning streak against Valencia Basket, which will play its first game since losing top scorer Klemen Prepelic to injury.
Keys to victory: Cedevita vs. Valencia

High-scoring Cedevita must limit the turnovers
Cedevita has won six consecutive games – and scored at least 86 points in all of them. Five of those wins have come by double figures and Cedevita is now ranked second in the EuroCup in scoring with 87.2 points per game. However, scoring alone will not be enough against Valencia, which is third in the competition with 86.5 points per game and has scored at least 90 five times this season. Taking care of the ball will be critical for both teams. Cedevita has committed 13.2 turnovers in wins this season compared to 15.9 in losses. Valencia is 12.6 in wins and 16.0 in losses. Those extra few turnovers in what looks to be a scoring fest could make all the difference.

Valencia must make smooth rotation adjustments
Valencia begins life without its top scorer and while the team has the depth to fill the role, it doesn’t have another true go-to perimeter scorer. Josep Puerto seems most likely to see the biggest rise in minutes and Xabi Lopez-Arostegui seems most likely to take on more scoring. Getting both players to step up to bigger roles quickly will be important for Valencia not just in Ljubljana this week, but going forward for the rest of the season.
