Will Cummings led the winners with 22 points, Vince Hunter added 19, Jordan McRae scored 15 and Tomer Ginat 10 for Metropolitans. Berzins brought Lietkabelis closer, 57-54, after 30 minutes.

Metropolitans needed a go-to guy and found one in Hunter, who had three consecutive dunks - a two-handed flush and back-to-back fastbreak slams - for a 63-58 lead. Kalaitzakis buried a three-pointer, Cummings answered with a jumper and Hunter dunked off a steal to boost the lead to 67-61. Cummings found Konate for a fastbreak layup that caused Lietkabelis to call a much-needed timeout, 69-61, with over 3 minutes left. Dovydas Giedraitis downed back-to-back triples to give Lietkabelis hope at 71-67 with 1:22 remaining. Ginat buried an off-balance jumper which Lipkevicius matched with a driving layup.
