Slask Wroclaw ignored the Group A standings and gave its fans a commanding 80-67 victory over visiting Turk Telekom on Wednesday. The win lifted Slask's record to 2-9 while Turk Telekom fell to 6-6, adding more intrigue to the Group A standings. Travis Trice led five double-digit Slask scorers with 20 points. Kerem Kanter followed with a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double.
Slask rolls Turk Telekom for second win of season



Kodi Justice and Ivan Ramljak added 12 points each for the winners while Aleksader Dziewa scored 11. Turk Telekom got 17 points from Anthony Clemmons, 13 from Alex Perez and 12 from JaJuan Johnson, but the visitors never led and played from behind the whole game.

Martin Meiers got the hosts going with a pair of jumpers to which Justice added another and Ramljak free throws for a quick 8-2 advantage for Slask. Justice dialled it up from deeper for back-to-back threes as the difference ballooned to 14-5. Trice took over then with 2 baskets and as many free throws to make it 22-5. Johnson tried to calm Turk Telekom with a couple of baskets but Slask was still able to boast a commanding 26-11 lead after 10 minutes.
Johnson kept it going into the second quarter as points got scarce for Slask and Clemmons helped him cut the difference to 28-15. After an exchange of free throws, Clemmons struck from the corner for a 30-22 scoreboard and a Slask timeout. That steadied the hosts who pulled away with the help of Dziewa and Trice to 13-point lead before Turk Telekom's Perez beat the halftime buzzer for 3 points to get the difference down to 42-32.
Dziewa's early triple after the break sustained Slask's double-digit lead and Ramljak's twisting inside basket made it 49-36. Perez responded for Turk Telekom with back-to-back triples and Clemmons add 3 more points separately to cut the difference to 51-46. Justice and Tomczk Szymon steadied Slask and the latter joined Trice for the last two baskets of the third quarter that Slask finished ahead by 59-50.
Clemmons strung together 5 early fourth-quarter points to keep Turk Telekom within 61-55. Kanter came up with a big put-back then, but Octavious Ellis matched him. Trice and Ellis traded baskets before Kanter scored again inside at 67-59. Dziewa's back-to-back blocks, free throw and three-point play boosted Slask to a 71-59 lead with 4 minutes left. Two steals by Jakub Karolak led to a fastbreak layup by Ramljak, and when Dziewa got to the line to make it 77-59, it was clear that Slask had its second win of the season.
