Lietkabelis opened the 2022-23 7DAYS EuroCup with an 82-71 defeat against Prometey Slobozhanske. Zeljko Sakic scored 14 points in his EuroCup debut, Kristian Kullamae added 13 off the bench and center Gabrielus Maldunas had 12 for Lietkabelis, which paid a high price for not taking good care of the ball. It finished the game with 4 steals and 19 turnovers. Ten of the 11 Lietkabelis players who stepped on the court turned the ball over at least once, so head coach Nenad Canak knows what to focus on before this Round 2 game.

Three EuroCup newcomers helped Ulm win the game: Devin Robinson had 13 points and 6 rebounds, Yago Dos Santos got 10 points and teenage sensation Juan Nunez contributed 9 points and 7 assists. Just like Lietkabelis, Ulm had too many turnovers (16) and not many steals (4), but was solid under the boards, getting 41 rebounds, 30 of them on the defensive end.
