Gran Canaria (1-1) hosts the London Lions (1-1) at Gran Canaria Arena on Wednesday night, following a round of the 7DAYS EuroCup in which the two teams experienced varying emotions, with Granca losing on the road to Promitheas Patras while London beat Dolomiti Energia Trento to record its first victory of the campaign.
Gran Canaria vs. London: Taking the next step

There was a lot of excitement around Granca heading into this EuroCup season, with many expecting during the preseason that it would fairly comfortably make its way out of Group B, but the unpredictability of the competition has already seen the Spanish team taste defeat on its first road trip. Head coach Jaka Lakovic and his team have high expectations for the current campaign, so getting back on track against London will be of the utmost importance after losing 93-82 to a Joe Young-inspired Promitheas Patras in Round 2. Granca boasts a significant advantage over London when it comes to its experience in the EuroCup, which could play a factor as Coach Lakovic's team attempts to make it two wins from two at Gran Canaria Arena.

London is another team that generated plenty of excitement in the offseason, but it was more to do with the project that is being built in the English capital, rather than it being viewed as a potential EuroCup champion in its debut year in the competition. After starting off with a 76-59 loss on the road to Hapoel Tel Aviv in Round 1, London bounced back with an 80-75 triumph over Trento at Copper Box Arena a week later, with Ovie Soko being named tri-MVP of Round 2 after ending the game with a PIR of 39. London has one of its toughest road trips this week, but buoyed by its first-ever EuroCup win a week ago, it could cause some problems for Granca.
