“What can I say? Congrats to Gran Canaria. They played a very good game. We give them all the credit. They moved the ball well, they shot the ball really well. They played aggressive, so they deserved to win. There’s not too much else to say. On our side, I was kind of expecting that after so many wins in a row and the situation that we are in that sooner or later we would have a bad game. It happened tonight. I don’t like it at all. We held our ground for three quarters. But then we definitely ran out of gas in the fourth quarter. Then we lost a little bit of composure. We thought we had to rush, even when we were down by 8, we played with the anxiety of a team that looked like they were down by 20. That’s something we need to work on. Especially with the most experienced players having to show the way. Take your time, it’s only 8 points and there are 6 minutes to go. There’s no reason to rush that much. But when you are physically and mentally out of energy, those things happen. We don’t have to dramatize anything. We hope to rest a little bit now and recover some of our injured players and start another winning streak.”
