Turk Telekom Ankara 86-76 ratiopharm Ulm
Turk Telekom trailed for 35 minutes, but turned it on late to race past Ulm 86-76 at Ankara Spor Salonu in the Turkish capital. Despite trailing by as many as 14 in the first half, the hosts rallied as Bouteille scored 5 in a 12-0 fourth-quarter run to take the lead for good. Over the final 7 minutes of the game, Turk Telekom outscored Ulm 31-13. Tyrique Jones tied his career high with 20 points and Jerian Grant scored as many and dished 7 assists to lead the winners. Yago Dos Santos tallied 21 points on 6-of-8 three-point shooting plus 5 assists for Ulm.
Prometey Slobozhanske 80-57 Promitheas Patras
Prometey became the second Ukrainian team to get this far in the competition by downing Promitheas at Arena Riga in the Latvian capital on Wednesday. Prometey is now on a 13-game winning streak and will have the home-court advantage in the semifinal. D.J. Stephens led the winners with 17 points and Gian Clavell added for Prometey, which heads to the semifinals 10 years after Budivelnik Kiev reached this stage in 2013 as the first Ukrainian team to do so. Joe Thomasson led Promitheas with 15 points.
Joventut Badalona 82-74 Hapoel Vegan Friendly Tel Aviv
Joventut reached the semifinals after a strong finish saw the Spanish club grind out a hard-fought home win over Hapoel in a rip-roaring contest played in an electrifying atmosphere. Centers Ante Tomic and forward Vladimir Brodziansky paced Joventut with 16 points each and Joel Parra added 13 for the home team, which set a new EuroCup record of 26 free throws made without missing any. At the other end, J’Covan Brown sank a game-high 21 points.
Gran Canaria 104-74 Paris Basketball
In a high-scoring, fun-to-watch game, Gran Canaria qualified for the semifinals by downing Paris at home. Gran Canaria advanced to the semifinals for the third time in club history, following previous appearances in 2015, 2016 and 2021. It will have the home-court advantage in its game against Joventut next week. Damien Inglis led the winners with 23 points on 11-of-14 two-point shooting and John Shurna added 17. Juhann Begarin paced Paris with 18 points as the team finished its first EuroCup campaign with an 11-9 record.
