In doing so, Prometey handed head coach Dusan Alimpijevic's team its first loss in the 7DAYS EuroCup since last season's championship game against Virtus Segafredo Bologna. Both teams now have 2-1 records in Group A.
Turk Telekom Ankara handed Hapoel Tel Aviv its first loss of the 7DAYS EuroCup season, 89-77, on Wednesday at Ankara Spor Salonu in a game that wasn’t as close as the final score indicates. Axel Bouteille led six Turk Telekom scorers in double figures with 18 points and Jerian Grant notched a double-double with 12 points and 10 assists. Tomer Ginat paced Hapoel with 20 points and 7 rebounds. The result left both teams with 2-1 records in Group B.
Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse kept its perfect record intact by downing the visiting 7Bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys 86-73 on Wednesday night. The victory lifted Bourg atop of Group B with a 3-0 record as the only remaining undefeated team in the competition, while Lietkabelis dropped to 1-2. Jordan Floyd scored all of his 21 points in the second half, and also pulled down 7 rebounds to lead Bourg. Jamel Morris had 21 points for Lietkabelis.
Brescia pulled out a hard-fought win from Ratiopharm Arena as it downed Ulm 90-98 in overtime on Wednesday night. The visitors forced the extra period with a dunk by Kenny Gabriel and opened the overtime with a 2-9 run to take control of the game until the end. Troy Caupain flirted with a triple-double with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists to lead Brescia. Matt Mobley paced Ulm with 23 points on 6-of-9 shooting from behind the arc.
Joventut took control in the second quarter and never let Cedevita back into the game for a 78-100 win to improve to 2-1 while the hosts remained winless at 0-3. Henry Ellenson paced Joventut with 15 points while Ante Tomic scored 14. Yogi Ferrell netted 20 points and Josh Adams contributed 15 in the losing effort.
Gran Canaria bounced back from its first loss of the 2022-23 7DAYS season by trashing London Lions 87-69 at home. Olek Balcerowski scored 16 points to lead the winners, who also welcomed point guard Andrew Albicy back from injury. Gran Canaria remained undefeated at home and improved to 2-1 in Group B. Vojtech Hruban scored 18 points for London, which dropped to 1-2 in Group B.
