Defending BKT EuroCup champion Dreamland Gran Canaria turned to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague for its next center by signing Ben Lammers for the coming season. Lammers (2.08 meters, 27 years old) arrives from ALBA Berlin, where he spent the last three seasons. He averaged 7.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.0 blocks over 81 EuroLeague games – including 53 as a starter – over that span. Lammers is fifth in the EuroLeague with 81 blocks over the last three seasons. He also won a pair of German League championships and one German Cup in his time in Berlin.

Lammers played college basketball at Georgia Tech where he was the Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2017. He began his professional career in Spain with Bilbao Basket in the second division in the 2018-19 season. After helping Bilbao get promoted in their first season together, he spent one more season there before joining ALBA.
