Hapoel Tel Aviv announced on Monday the return of big man Tomer Ginat on a five-year contract. The Israeli national team player has previously spent four seasons with Hapoel, serving as a team captain in the 2019-20 season, the last he played with the club, and has now signed a contract that will keep him with the club until the end of the 2026-27 season. Ginat (2.05 meters, 27 years old) returns to Hapoel after playing the last two seasons with Boulogne Metropolitans 92. Last season, he averaged 8.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists in helping Metropolitans reach the 7DAYS EuroCup Quarterfinals for the second year in a row.

"I do not remember such excitement around announcing a player who came to play in the team I coach", said Hapoel head coach Danny Franco. "Tomer went with his heart, and from now on we will all have to bring that heart to the court and do everything to make our Hapoel Tel Aviv a successful team".
Ginat grew up in the north of Israel and began his career with Ironi Nahariya. He also played for Kiryat Ata before signing for Hapoel Tel Aviv in 2016. Ginat is a regular on the Israeli national team, too.
