Valencia Basket came to France shorthanded at the point guard spot, but Martin Hermannsson took control to lead his team to a come-from-behind victory over Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse.
Hermannsson stepped up and tied Valencia record

Sam Van Rossom and Nenad Dimitrijevic were both missing for Valencia, which meant that head coach Joan Penarroya would have to lean more on Hermannsson. Indeed, Hermannsson led the team in minutes on Tuesday with 25:46. And he used those minutes to tie the club record for assists.

Hermannsson dished 12 assists, which tied the mark Van Rossom established against Turk Telekom Ankara in an October 2018 game. He also doubled his previous high for the season. Even more impressive, Hermannsson did so while committing just 1 turnover.

He either scored or assisted on 18 points in the fourth quarter as Valencia outscored Bourg 14-30 in the final 10 minutes. Among the highlights were a steal and dish to Jasiel Rivero for a go-ahead slam, 68-70; an assist to Klemen Prepelic for a triple that made it 70-73; and his 12th assist, to Xabi Lopez-Arostegiu, for a three that put the game on ice, 77-85, with 1 minute remaining.
