Former Tennessee standout joins after a season in the G League
Jerusalem jumps on versatile forward Josiah-Jordan James

Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem continued its summer roster build by signing American small forward Josiah-Jordan James through the 2026–27 season, the club announced on Thursday.
James (1.98 meters, 24 years old) arrives in the Israeli capital after spending the past season with the Indiana Mad Ants in the G League, where he averaged 6.4 points on 42.6%, 3.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. That was his first season in professional basketball after a standout college career at the University of Tennessee.
"Josiah is a player who has flown under the radar, with a good shot and excellent physical tools. He always puts the team first and is willing to do whatever it takes for the team to succeed," Coach Yonatan Alon said of his newest player. "We’re still working on the final piece of the puzzle and are very happy with the team that’s coming together."
A high school sensation, James won three state titles and was named the player of the year in South Carolina as well as a McDonald’s All-American. He played for Team USA at the U18 Americas Championship in 2018. James spent five seasons at Tennessee and helped the Volunteers win the SEC Tournament in 2022. Jones joins a deep Jerusalem backcourt, featuring reigning EuroCup MVP Jared Harper, Khadeen Carrington, Cassius Winston and Roi Huber and he will now make his EuroCup debut this season with the club.
