Jerusalem signs Turkish League MVP Austin Wiley for 3 years

Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem anchored its frontline with the signing of center Austin Wiley, who comes off a breakout season. The contract is for three seasons. Wiley (2.08 meter, 25 years old) arrives from Tofas Bursa, where he averaged 15.2 points on 68.3% shooting and a league-best 10.1 rebounds en route to capturing the Turkish League MVP crown. In the Basketball Champions League, he was worth 12.4 points and 8.9 rebounds and named to the all-tournament team.
After playing college basketball at Auburn University, Wiley began his professional career in Germany where he briefly played for MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg and then for Trier. His next stop was Neptunas Kleipeda in 2022-23, where he led the Lithuanian League in rebounding with 8.9 per game. He will now look to leave his mark on the BKT EuroCup with Jerusalem.
