Lietkabelis Panevezys has confirmed the arrival of Benas Griciunas on a one-year deal. Griciunas (2.10 meters, 28 years old) joins from Neptunas Klaipeda, where he averaged 11.4 points and 6.6 rebounds in 20.8 minutes on the court during 33 Lithuanian League games last season. He will make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut in the 2022-23 campaign.

Griciunas, who was born in the United States and played college basketball for Auburn University, UNC Charlotte and Eastern Washington University, began his professional career with BC Siauliai of Lithuania in 2018. After two seasons there, in which he increased his averages in scoring and rebounding, he joined Neptunas. Again, Griciunas saw his numbers increase in his second season. He will be hoping to now carry that momentum into his debut campaign with Lietkabelis in the EuroCup. Griciunas has also represented Lithuania at youth level.
