


The London Lions ground out a workmanlike 76-83 win at Slask Wroclaw after getting the better of their opponents in all departments, although neither side impressed in a rugged encounter.
London gained a decisive advantage in three-point shooting, having hit 10-of-31 shots beyond the arc while Slask netted 7-of-28. The visitors also had better percentages from two-point range, having hit 16-of-28 shots while the home side sank 21-of-43.
Rebounding was also a factor as London racked up a staggering 42 boards, 11 of them offensive, while Slask had 36, 12 of which were in London’s paint.
Both teams committed more turnovers than they had assists, but London came out slightly on top as it had 14 team assists and 18 turnovers. Slask kept the turnovers down to 13 but only had 9 assists.
The decisive factor was personified by London’s dynamic duo of Miye Oni and Jordan Taylor, who racked up 45 points and 19 rebounds between them, with Slask unable to contain them. Taylor posted a career-high 23 points to go with 7 rebounds, while Oni posted a 22-point, 12-rebound double-double for the visitors.
